Arab cinema synthesis

We have been able to do this file about Arabic Cinema thanks to the very kind permission of M. Hussam Hindi, Founding Father of the « Travelling » International Film Festival, based in Rennes, France. All the following articles represent the main part of what has been published in the Festival internal magazine since 1990.

This file is an overview of different motion picture productions that we shall name « Arabic Cinema », although this term might be inappropriate, for the question is : What have Algerian, Egyptian and Iranian cinema in commun? Each of them has a different historical and cultural background. The aim of our project was to gather up as many documents and human accounts as possible. As most of these documents were once puplished in the Festival internal magazine, many cannot be found anymore, but still, remain a treasure of relevance.
